Anna Copa Cabanna’s Variety Show draws inspiration from Laugh-in, Solid Gold, The Sonny and Cher Show, and The Carol Burnett Show! Combining a love of this golden age of TV Specials with an honest portrayal of an Australian living in New York, The Anna Copa Cabanna Show’s primary goal is transporting the audience to a world of glamor, humor, overly earnest but beautiful dancing, and classic rock and roll!

In the tradition of Hullabaloo, Whiskey A Go Go, Joey Heatherton, Goldie Hawn, and Faster Pussycat Kill Kill, Anna Copa Cabanna keeps the original GOGO Aesthetic ALIVE. Anna has Go Go Danced to Heavy Metal, 80s Goth, 70s Punk, Ska, and countless 60s parties- always with a wink and a smile. Her authentic Go Go and wild popularity led to being the face and twirling body of THE DEBASER video on The Pixies "Doolittle Tour" and being chosen to open up for Booker T at Lincoln Center this Summer with her 1960s dance class!
During the New York Covid-19 Lockdown, Anna taught free 1960s Go Go Workouts every week on Instagram Live, and danced in over ten music videos for bands in Europe, Australia, and the US.
As New York’s most raucous rock and roll go go dancer, Anna has shared the stage with and danced for Booker T, Ursula 1000, B52s' Fred Schneider, Jon Spencer, Gibby Haynes (Butthole Surfers), Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith), Jonathan Toubin, New Pornographers, Marc Ribot, Delicate Steve, Josh Styles (Daddy Long Legs), The Neanderthals, James Chance, Kid Congo Powers (The Cramps), Andrew WK, The Go-Getters, Les Sans Culottes, and Tommy Ramone! She danced at NYC’s longest running 60s party SMASHED! BLOCKED! for 10 years, danced on 2 US tours with New York Night Train (DJ Jonathan Toubin), and shimmied with shimmer at mod parties in Switzerland, Sweden, France, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Scotland, Italy, Miami, and Australia. She is the featured dancer in music videos for Ursula 1000, Marc Ribot, Kid Congo Powers, Smoota, Ambassador Hazy, Turn To Crime, Azar Swan, The Electric Mess, Christian Gibbs, A Place to Bury Strangers, and danced at the LES Rock and Roll Mecca MOTOR CITY every Friday night for 10 years.
Her special brand of vintage go-go dancing, and extravagant outfits/choreography have been featured at diverse venues including Joe's Pub, Lincoln Center, Highline Ballroom, City Winery, Terminal 5, 54 Below, Grounds for Sculpture, Scope Art Fair, The Slipper Room, Motherf*cker, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Brooklyn Bowl, MassMoca, The Knitting Factory, Le Poisson Rouge, St Vitus, Diviera Drive, Atlantic Antic, Santos Party House, Bowery Ballroom, Galapagos and many more.

Anna Copa Cabanna is proud to be part of The Losers Lounge for the last 8 years including Special Appearances at MassMoca, Celebrate Brooklyn and Lincoln Center! The Losers Lounge is a collective of New York City’s finest performers who have been selling out live shows every other month for twenty years. Founded in 1993 by former Psychedelic Furs keyboardist Joe McGinty, the band continues to canonize the great songwriting catalogues of the '60s, 70's and ‘80’s in its own unique way. "From Abba to the Zombies" as The New York Times has said, The Losers Lounge is in the business of redemption; honoring pop stars from these eras and validating the zeal of music fans.
